Goal and measurement

The goal is to test the strength endurance of the oblique muscles. The result you record is the number of swings. F.ex. one swing to the left and one swing to the right count as 2 swings total.

Position

on the floor - easy
Lie on your back with your legs straight and vertical.
on the bar - hard
Hang on the bar with straight, vertical legs.

Procedure

on the floor - easy
Legs swing left and right from vertical to horizontal so that the feet get less than 4 inches/10 cm from the floor. The test ends whenf you are unable to keep your legs straight in your knees, lower your legs, or you are unable to make another swing.

on the bar - hard
Legs swing left and right from vertical to horizontal. The test ends when you are unable to keep your legs straight in your knees, lower your legs, or you are unable to make another swing.
